As a non-profit organization, we rely on tax-deductible donations to feed and house former racing Greyhounds, and to cover the costs of emergency veterinary care. The average cost per greyhound while in our care is $525.00 while our adoption fee is only $295.
The fundraising efforts of the Fundraising Committee help to supplement donations so that every hound that passes our doorway is properly cared for while awaiting their forever home. We have many fundraising activities that are available which are listed below.
Do your online shopping through any of the above sites where you can shop at hundreds of your favorite stores and SEGA will receive a percentage of every sale, at no additional cost to you! Be sure and identify yourself as a SEGA volunteer.
We also provide a method to make cash donations using PayPal and also a unique opportunity to provide a donation in honor of or in memory of a special person in your life with a personalized Donation Card.
And for those who adopted from SEGA, we have our very own GOTCHA Certificate that is personalized with the name of your hound and the date of your adoption. Definitely a keepsake.
Our group also recycles laser, ink jet cartridges, working cell phones, and aluminum cans. These programs provide needed funds for the hounds awaiting adoption. For further information about these recycling programs, please contact the fundraising chair.
As you can see there are ample opportunities where you can participate and "Make A Difference"! We hope you will and support SEGA at the same time!
