Registration

Cost

The 2013 registration costs are as follows:

• $25 through September 18, 2013 at 12 midnight EST
• $30 September 19 through October 9, 2013 at 12 midnight EST
• $35 race day

Note: Registration closes Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 12 midnight EST. After that you will be required to register the day of the race.

Registration Categories

For 2013, the Athletes Helping Athletes event offers three registration categories:

• Runner - will run in the race
• Walker - will walk the 1 mile walk
• Phantom Supporter - will not run or walk in the race, but is certainly welcome to attend the race

Registered participants may use their active.com account to change their registration category (e.g., to switch from a walker to a phantom runner) at anytime until Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 12 midnight EST.

  Waiver: I know that running and participating in training run programs are potentially hazardous activities. I should not run unless I am medically able, with consent from my physician, to properly prepare and participate in the Athletes Helping Athletes 2013 5K Road Race (hereinafter called "Road Race"). I assume all risks associated with running in the “Road Race” and in preparation for the "Road Race," including but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather, including high heat and/or humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. Having read this waiver, and knowing these facts, and in consideration of your accepting my entry to the "Road Race," I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the Southeastern Greyhound Club, Inc., Southeastern Greyhound Adoption (SEGA), all city, county, and state governments, and all sponsors, their representatives and successors, from all claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this road race/training program. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. I understand that all entries are final with no refunds. The official race director reserves the right in any event of emergency or local or national disaster to cancel the race or to change the day and or time to a later day and that in the event of cancellation or change there is no refund of entry fees. Clicking above to register and submitting my registration and payment via active.com will constitute my agreement to this waiver.
  
  
• Via U.S. Mail: Print the Athletes Helping Athletes 5K Run/1 Mile Walk flyer, which includes a registration form. (Adobe Acrobat Reader is required. Visit Adobe to download the free reader if necessary.)
• At the race: Race registration will be available the morning of the race.
